My New Years Outfit....................

I might as well post this one before it's no longer relevant. The dress was a Christmas gift, and it's by Stylestalker, I love the teal colour, the crepe fabric, the hood, and the zippered pockets. I'm going to wear it to Big Day Out next weekend, but with my combat boots, not the beau coops shoes in the picture. Anyway, I have a slight problem. Somehow on New Years, I managed to get white chewing gum on the back of the dress and it's noticeable. Not sure if this is right, but I was thinking of using some cooking oil to remove the gum, then once that's gone use something else to remove the oil???? If anyone out there has successfully removed chewing gum from fabric, please share your methods - thanks :)

Happy 2011

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves on new years. I went to the pub I always go to, had a ball, got a taxi without any fuss at all and was home by about 3am. Great success!!

The lovely dress i'm wearing was given to me by a pregnant friend. It's a maternity dress that her father bought for her in Turkey, she gave it to me because her partner told her she looked like a Polish cheese farmer in it!! (not that there's anything wrong with cheese farmers - imagine all that tasty cheese :) ) I'm so in love with this dress - the patterned part of the dress is a pinwale cord fabric. it's so comfortable too. Also, I would just like to add that i'm not pregnant myself :)

My Latest, "I Made This"..................

I made this in class. We had to find a commercial pattern that resembled most closely our design, then alter it accordingly. I used a cotton chambray. I'm happy with the results :)

Wednesday Morning Score at the Salvos

I love dresses :)
I've always been into jeans and pants apart from the dress/skirt over the jeans trend which I rocked for a few years and of course the "good" dresses for special occasions at the back of the closet. This dress is a little bit SJP and I'm wearing a black t-shirt underneath. It's pretty cute, not 100% sure though - might sell this one on ebay.

I love this one. It's a "Linda Britten" , made in Australia, pure silk, the teal colour goes with my putrid mane.

This one I snuck in, it's actually from Valley Girl, don't you just adore the bow on the front?

I wasn't even going to go to the Op-Shop today but as I was driving closer I thought I'd better go and have a peruse in case I missed something special. And I would have!! Not too keen on posting pictures of myself when my mane looks less than fabulous but at the end of the day, it's about the clothes.

So the little tartan swing dress has a lovely black bow along the bustline which can't be seen in the picture and i'm also wearing a black t-shirt underneath.
